A two-act science-fiction spoof. UFOs! Mysterious creatures from outer space! Ill-disguised greed and heroic rescues! This hilarious spoof of low-budget sci-fi films captures all the horror-filled suspense and dramatic action everyone loves to hate. When a tea-bag-shaped UFO lands at Cactus Creek, the money-hungry Sheriff gets his hands on the strange creature inside. Eager for fame, he hooks up with two zany scientists, who plan to cut it up and analyze it. Their plans are thwarted by a group of snooping teenagers who plot to kidnap the creature and take it on the road. Only Katie, the #1 jailhouse janitor, and her crew of kind-hearted cleaning ladies have the alien's best interests in mind. Disguised as scientists, they try to stop the Sheriff's avaricious scheme, but their hilarious fumbletalk gives them away. The dumbhead Sheriff outsmarts himself, as do all the others, and the creature is returned to outer space unharmed. Uproariously silly situations make the show fun for both cast and audience. Cast: 9W, 6M, 4 optional. Middle Grades to High School. 2 acts, about 90 minutes. Includes 12 scripts and rights to reproduce copies.
